So currently, I’m trying Starbucks’ Blonde Veranda Blend. It’s a light roasted blend, which means that it’s not as strong and bitter as a medium or darker roast. I like it so far because it doesn’t have as much of a “punch” as I had expected, which is good because I’m just starting out with coffee. I kind of taste the cocoa part of the blend that they say this blend has, but only just a little bit. I want to try a blonde roast, then a medium one, and finally a dark blend and then try to see the differences between all of them. Then, if I can, I want to move on to maybe some international flavors.
Here’s the official description from the Starbucks website:
Roasting this blend of specially chosen Latin American beans for a shorter time allows the delicate nuances ofsoft cocoa and lightly toasted nuts to blossom. Mellow and flavorful, this coffee brews a delightfully gracious cup that’s perfect for welcoming friends.
With its calm and laid-back character, this coffee pays homage to the art of porch-sitting. Named for the serene terraces decorating towns and neighborhoods throughout the regions where these beans were grown, Veranda Blend™ is a gentle and inviting cup best served with a sunny day, a good friend and nothing in particular to do.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned!
